There are more than 6000 full-time Endava employees all over the globe. On average, there are over 30 events per week meant to elevate the overall experience of working at Endava
How do the employees know about those events?
–– “There’s an app for that”
The problem. We had an app but users hesitated to use it because the list of events wasn't complete and they still weren't aware of most of the events.
The solution. I had to dig deeper to discover that the event organizers found it difficult to create and populate events inside the CMS portal. So we started from there.
My role. I’ve led this internal project initiative. We’ve created the new CMS portal and changed its navigational structure. The whole process of the events creation was rethought and simplified, hence encouraging the organizers to add their events to the app. We tested the prototypes with potential event organizers within the company to refine the product.
Previously, while creating an event, all the fields would be visible at once. That was the main pain point that scared off the event organizers. We had to heavily rely on the gestalt principles to influence the perception and point the users' attention in the right direction.
